When
my father and I decided to go on a hunting safari, I spent weeks searching the
internet and other sources. After quite an educational experience, I
narrowed my choices down to Cruiser Safaris and a few others. All other
hunters I spoke with said to check the references, so I did. The
response was overwhelming, and left no doubt that Cruiser was our only real
choice.
Everyone
responded, and each had only praise for Pieter and his staff. I asked
each one to tell me what the worst part of their trip was - the worst
"negative" comment was that they gained to much weight!
Needless to say, we had high expectations. Yet we were still AMAZED when we arrived. The accommodations were luxurious, and I had the feeling that they couldn't possibly run such an operation on what they were charging.
The
hunting was as much fun as anything I've done. Even after taking all the
animals I went for (and more), I went back just to stalk some more and see how
many animals we could get close to. Every PH goes out of his way to
please his client. It's hard work, but they genuinely enjoy their job.
The
quality of the animals is without a doubt. Most of our animals easily
made SCI, and four even made Rowland Ward - Dad's Warthog and Duiker, and my
Impala and Blesbok. You wouldn't have guessed that Dad is 72 years old
by the way he acted.
It's
funny how a "trip of a lifetime" turns into "when can we do this again?"
I could go on, but you need to read the other references. It may seem hard to believe, but Cruiser Safaris is not too good to be true - it's just too good to miss!
